Zak's Haircut

Zak's hair has gotten a little out of control lately

This is the best "before" picture I could find of his hair...Here's after Mat cut it... Isn't he a handsome little devil?

So, my super cute neice, Whitney, is going to school to become a hair stylist and I let her do whatever she wants to my hair...I was really nervous to chop it all off but she told me to trust her so I did and I'm so glad I did! This is probably one of my favorite haircuts I've ever had! Thanks Whitney!

facebook kidnapped me, but I have returned

HEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO to all my peeps in blogger land! Goodness, I have neglected you all! Facebook kidnapped me ... it's not my fault! But I have been so kindly reminded by all my wonderful friends and family that it IS possible to do Facebook AND Blogging at the same time! We shall see if I can handle it...Don't expect much...Sadly, I have not even kept up on any of your blogs since I was kidnapped...But I will make up for lost time and read EACH and EVERY one of your posts until I'm caught up ... It might take me a month, but I will do it!
Seriously, though...I hope you all forgive me for neglecting you...and I ask you to take me back...I might need to change the website name since we are thomas family of 5, not four ... lol ...

Conference

Well, it sure has been a long while since I posted anything. I found facebook and abandoned my poor, lonely blog. But I'm back! (At least for today ... lol) I am going to catch up on all of your blogs and see what everyone is up to.

The reason that I wanted to post today is that I just had such an awesome "Conference Weekend" and I just wanted to share my testimony with my friends and family that I know that this church is absolutely the true church and I am so grateful that I am apart of it. I know without a doubt that the prophet and Apostles are real and true and that they are a mouth-piece for the Lord. He loves us and wants us to have direction in our lives and He will not leave us alone.

I read this in D&C 1 this morning and it re-confirmed to me how I felt about conference...

38 What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.

39 For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and ever. Amen.

Zak's 1st article of faith

For FHE this week, we thought we would teach Zak and Maddie the 1st article of faith. We had no idea he would be able to memorize it, but after only about 3 tries, he had it down! I'm so proud of him! He's growing up way too fast!

On Friday, Wal*Mart had a midnight release party for the release of Twilight onto DVD. They found out on Thursday that a cast member from the movie would be showing up. They didn't say who was coming - it was a surprise. Mat was in charge of putting the party together. He did all the decorating and put together all the games and prizes etc... He worked so hard and it turned out awesome! At 11:30, Rachelle Lafevere walked in! (Victoria from the movie) It was a great party! Mat got to hang out with her in the back room while she signed a bunch of posters and movies and then he got her some food and helped with security while she signed movies for all the fans! There were about 3,000 people there! It was INSANE! Mat let me butt in line and so I got my movie and book signed! and I shook her hand! YAY! It was so fun! Here's some pics from the night. Some aren't very clear. There were so many people and it was really hard to get any good pictures. But here they are...

Great Friends

Jenny came to visit today! It was so fun to see her! We reminisced about the good ol' days and laughed so hard at some of our crazy memories... Her little girl, Natalie is so so cute... Thanks for coming over, Jenny... it's always good to spend time with great friends...
